Asian Hospital launches public health drive against atherosclerosis

Philippines’ Asian Hospital and Medical Center, in collaboration with the Department of Health, has launched a public health campaign against atherosclerosis and its known risk factors, including smoking and vaping.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness about the link between these habits and the development of atherosclerosis—a condition where plaque builds up in the arteries.
“Smoking and vaping not only harm your lung health—they rapidly accelerate the development of atherosclerosis, quietly destroying your blood vessels and putting your heart and brain at risk,” said Asian Hospital President and CEO, Beaver Tamesis.
The hospital rolled out its ‘’Ate Rose®’ campaign earlier this year. The initiative includes the launch of the Ate Rose® Card, a screening package specifically designed to detect early signs of atherosclerosis.
