Amrita Hospital has announced the launch of India’s first retina biobank in Kochi for ophthalmic research.
The biobank is designed to store aqueous and vitreous samples at ultra-low temperatures of -70°C.
According to the hospital, the facility will support research into complex eye diseases and genetic and biological studies.
