ExtraHop doubles down on APAC as sales rapidly outpace forecasts
It also expanded its focus in the ASEAN.
ExtraHop, the first and only provider of streaming analytics that transforms network data into actionable insight, is seeing rapid expansion and significant customer demand in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market, including Southeast Asia (ASEAN).
Sales and customer adoption of the ExtraHop Platform outpaced forecasts, with the region surpassing 2016 sales goals just eight months after establishing its Singapore headquarters. Through deepening relationships with channel and technology partners and industry recognition as the winner of the 2016 HIMSS AsiaPac Innovations Challenge, ExtraHop has set the stage for a strong fourth quarter and 2017.
To further this momentum, ExtraHop today announced a major reseller agreement with Exclusive Networks, the region's largest, most prestigious and award-winning value-added distribution partner specializing in market introduction and growth for innovative cybersecurity, networking, and infrastructure technologies.
Expanding its sales presence
ExtraHop also expanded its sales presence in APAC, with Ken Pohniman, a seasoned sales leader with more than two decades of experience driving sales at Citrix, Cisco, and F5 Networks, joining the Singapore team. Pohniman will lead all ExtraHop operations, new business, and channel opportunities in ASEAN.
"Digitalization has completely transformed the way companies do business, forcing a new era of modern IT architectures. Too often, IT leaders bear the burden of knowing that their organizations won't survive this wave of change, drowned by an ecosystem of disparate tools for application, networking, and IT operations teams still working in silos. It's no surprise APAC IT spend is on the rise," said Danny Smolders, Vice President of APAC Sales at ExtraHop. "With additional on-the-ground resources from Exclusive Networks and in the APAC office, ExtraHop can expand our footprint to seize this opportunity to provide customers with immediate value and insights using streaming wire data analytics unlike anything they've seen before."
According to recent research from Gartner analysts Vivek Bhalla and Will Cappelli, "[W]ire data—radically rethought and used in new ways— … will prove to be the most critical source of data for availability and performance management over the next five years."
With demand for the ExtraHop Platform growing among major APAC industries including telecommunications, healthcare, and finance, the company also introduced the ExtraHop Discover 1100. This small form-factor appliance is designed to extend IT visibility from the datacenter across geographically distributed operations, including manufacturing facilities, retail stores, distribution centers, and branch offices.
Support for cloud services
When combined with support for public clouds like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, ExtraHop now delivers visibility everywhere that IT assets reside in the modern enterprise: the datacenter, cloud, and remote sites.
"OneMap is deployed in AWS and provides detailed mapping information on Singapore in web, mobile, and API forms," said Tan Soo Leng, Manager of Geo Spatial Development for the Geo Spatial Division at Singapore Land Authority. "With ExtraHop, we have complete L2-L7 visibility across the entire application stack, including the cloud. We can rapidly identify and troubleshoot problems within minutes, and the monitoring solution enables us to benchmark performance as we prepare to launch OneMap 2.0."
"Today's IT environments are incredibly complex and dynamic. At the same time, IT is more business-critical than ever, with employees and customers alike relying on diverse applications and infrastructure to support their digital experience," Jonathan Juay, Managing Director at Exclusive Networks. "ExtraHop provides real-time, end-to-end visibility that puts IT teams back in control, helping them take a proactive stance to monitoring and performance management that improves end-user experience, IT performance and reliability, and business efficiency and security. Through our reseller agreement with ExtraHop, we look forward to delivering this visibility and control to our global customers."
Technology market heating up
"The ASEAN technology market is heating up, and IT spend is on the rise as organizations increasingly seek to drive expansion and market share by delivering seamless digital experiences," said Pohniman. "After years working with major players like Citrix and Cisco, I have a unique understanding of the challenges these organizations face as they continue to scale up IT operations. ExtraHop offers a fresh approach to IT monitoring, one that spans across applications, networks, and the business to provide holistic visibility. I look forward to working with the ExtraHop APAC team, and our outstanding partners and customers to drive IT transformation in the region."
Today, ExtraHop also announced advanced IT analytics available in ExtraHop 6.0, providing the industry's first top-down workflow to seamlessly navigate network data and unearth business-critical application, network, or security insights within minutes.
