Smartpeep integrates AI into elderly care systems
The company enhances nursing workflows with AI monitoring.
Smartpeep is betting on the global rise of elderly populations and the corresponding demand for smarter, safer healthcare solutions. At the APHM, co-located with The Health Industry Series – ASEAN 2025 in Malaysia, Founder and CEO Meng Hui Lim said the company sees AI-driven patient monitoring as a major growth opportunity.
“We see that the greatest opportunity will be to integrate AI into the existing nurses’ workflow using solutions like these kinds of patient monitoring systems,” said Lim. “There are a lot of gaps we need to bridge to support medical staff to take care of patients better.”
Smartpeep’s key challenge is adoption—ensuring AI integrates seamlessly into highly regulated, person-centered healthcare environments. “We need to make sure everyone adopts it seamlessly… it’s more on the stakeholder trust to make it happen,” she noted.
What sets Smartpeep apart is its AI model specifically trained for elderly care. “We work with healthcare professionals to design this… our system is actually designed more into how we effectively integrate into the nursing workflow,” Lim said.
