New SingHealth MRI Centre expands diagnostic imaging access

It uses AI to reduce scan times by up to 25%.

SingHealth has opened a new MRI Centre to improve patient comfort and expanding access to diagnostic imaging.

The facility, developed with United Imaging Healthcare, features three advanced MRI machines with AI that cuts scan times by up to 25% without affecting diagnostic quality.

Two of the three machines have the industry’s largest 75cm bore, offering more space, greater comfort, and flexible positioning for different types of scans.

Each MRI room is equipped with dynamic wall and ceiling ambience systems that project calming nature scapes, creating a soothing environment to reduce patient anxiety.

The centre will provide 18,000 additional MRI slots each year, increasing access to this essential diagnostic service.
