Healthway Cancer Care Hospital strengthens IV safety with global programme
It is the first specialty hospital in Southeast Asia to finish the initiative.
Philippines' Healthway Cancer Care Hospital (HCCH) has completed the Becton Dickinson–Joint Commission International (BD–JCI) PRIME Program, a global initiative to prevent infections and medication errors in intravenous (IV) therapy.
HCCH is the first specialty hospital in Southeast Asia to finish the program, which combines BD’s medical technology expertise with JCI’s international patient safety standards.
The program is crucial for cancer patients, who often have weakened immune systems and complex medication needs.
By adopting the PRIME Program, HCCH reduces the risk of IV-related infections and errors, ensuring safer treatment and better outcomes for patients undergoing chemotherapy and other injectable therapies.
