Apollo Hospitals and Coal India sign MoU to expand healthcare access

The agreement covers employees, pensioners and dependants nationwide.

Apollo Hospitals signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Coal India Limited to provide healthcare services to coal workers, pensioners and their dependants, according to an announcement published by Apollo Hospitals.

The agreement enables access to treatment at Apollo’s network of hospitals across India.

The MoU covers approximately 250 thousand Coal India employees and about 500 thousand pensioners and their dependants, Apollo Hospitals said services will include medical treatment, preventive-health screenings and wellness programmes delivered across Apollo’s facilities.

The company stated that treatment will be provided on a tariff basis and supported by an integrated referral and billing framework between Apollo Hospitals and Coal India’s medical departments. The arrangement is designed to streamline access across Apollo’s hospital network.
