South Korea lands $95.67m Novartis deal for radioligand therapy

It will focus on building an RLT manufacturing facility, amongst others.

South Korea and Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which the latter will invest $95.67m (KRW140b) to build a radioligand therapy (RLT) ecosystem.

The MoU will support plans to build an RLT manufacturing facility, expand the number of hospitals capable of administering RLT, and train specialised personnel.

It is expected to reduce barriers to treatment for patients whilst strengthening the country’s radiopharmaceutical research and manufacturing capabilities.

Ministry of Health and Welfare Minister Jeong Eun Kyeong and Novartis’ President of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Judith Love, signed the MoU on 21 July 2026.
