SCRS and Medtronic Singapore sign MoU to boost colorectal surgery training

Focus includes minimally invasive and technology-assisted surgical techniques.

The Society of Colorectal Surgeons, Singapore and Medtronic plc, through Medtronic Singapore, have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen training and professional development for colorectal surgeons.

Under the partnership, both parties will roll out structured training programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives aimed at supporting surgeons across different career stages.

The initiative comes as colorectal surgery continues to evolve, driven by advances in minimally invasive and technology-assisted procedures.

It is also expected to support collaboration between clinicians and industry, including exchange of clinical evidence, discussion on safe adoption of new surgical tools, and sharing of best practices across Singapore’s colorectal surgery community.
