Philippines’ St. Luke’s elevates imaging workflow with O-Arm rollout

It improves surgical accuracy in spine and orthopaedic operations.

St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines, has acquired the O-arm Surgical Imaging System for use in orthopedic and spine procedures.

In a press release, St. Luke’s said the system provides real-time, 3D intraoperative imaging that allows surgeons to view anatomical structures during operations. It is used to support implant placement and surgical navigation in spine and orthopaedic cases.

The hospital said it provides imaging during procedures, allowing surgeons to assess positioning whilst surgery is underway. The system helps improve surgical accuracy, lowering the risk of complications by improving visibility of surgical sites.

It added that the imaging capability supports more efficient operations and is associated with more reliable and reproducible results in spine and orthopaedic surgery.
