India’s minimally invasive glaucoma treatment market expands amidst surge in prevalence
India accounted for nearly 22% of APAC's minimally invasive glaucoma surgery market in 2026.
India’s minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) devices market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 2% through 2033, according to GlobaData.
The market's growth is being driven by the rising prevalence of glaucoma and increasing adoption of advanced ophthalmic technologies to improve clinical outcomes.
The report also revealed that India accounted for nearly 22% of the Asia-Pacific MIGS market in 2026.
“Even though cost and limited access outside urban areas are still obstacles, new products, supported by long-term clinical evidence, can increase the use of MIGS,” Prerna Gupta, Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData, said.
