India dental devices market grows on tech adoption

Rising cosmetic dentistry and CAD/CAM adoption drive sector growth.

India’s dental care sector is entering a technology-driven growth phase, offering improved accessibility, affordability, and quality of services, according to GlobalData.

The report forecasts the country’s dental devices market will expand at a 12.5% CAGR through 2035, making it one of the fastest-growing markets in the Asia–Pacific (APAC) region. In 2025, India accounted for 12.4% of the regional dental devices market.

Market growth is fuelled by rising oral healthcare awareness, increasing demand for advanced dental procedures, expansion of private clinics and hospitals, and better access in semi-urban areas.

“India’s dental healthcare sector has seen the increasing adoption of CAD/CAM systems for same-day fabrication of dental crowns and bridges, alongside strong growth in cosmetic dentistry,” said 
Priyanka Chakraborty, medical devices analyst at GlobalData. “This cosmetic segment is largely driven by demand for aesthetic procedures involving teeth whitening systems, clear aligners and dental handpieces for smile enhancement.”

In January 2026, Dentalkart, India’s largest online dental marketplace, partnered with NSK Japan to connect dentists directly with the manufacturer through a digital platform.

The move creates an authorized distribution channel, ensures genuine NSK products at standard prices, and reduces counterfeit risks, the report noted.

Dentalkart will offer NSK’s full range of products, from basic airotors to advanced surgical systems. The direct model also strengthens warranty and service support, improves spare-parts access, and curbs the grey market for dental equipment.

“With India’s dental care landscape entering a high-growth, technology-led phase, it is poised to expand its influence in the APAC region," Chakraborty added.
