SMC earns Level 6 HIMSS certification in ‘continuity of care maturity model’

The evaluation covered systems for information sharing and patient tracking.

South Korea’s Samsung Medical Center has received certification across all digital maturity models set by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

In 2025, the hospital earned the Level 6 certification in the ‘Continuity of Care Maturity Model’, which assesses the secure and seamless exchange of medical information across hospitals and with patients.

The evaluation covered systems for information sharing, referrals, transfers, and patient tracking.

In addition, the hospital’s patient reporting system, PRISM, was highlighted in the review.

The system integrates data from continuous blood glucose monitors and smartwatches, including heart rate and sleep tracking, directly into the electronic medical record.
