Precious Medical Group launches $121.m cancer centre and hospital in Johor
The centre will feature Malaysia’s first cyclotron outside the Klang Valley.
Singapore-based Precious Medical Group has announced the launch of the $121.1m (RM500m) Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Centre and Hospital in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
The first phase, the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Centre, is scheduled to open on 5 December. It will include a PET-CT suite and a radiotherapy centre.
Once completed, it will also feature a nuclear medicine facility containing what is expected to be Malaysia’s first cyclotron outside the Klang Valley.
The equipment will allow on-site production of medical radioisotopes used in cancer imaging and therapy.
