Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh opens in Perak, Malaysia

The hospital introduces the state’s first PET-CT scan.

Sunway Healthcare Group has launched the $102.3m (RM430m) Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh, its fifth hospital in Malaysia.

Located in Perak, the hospital introduces the state’s first PET-CT scan and advanced surgical robotic-arm system.

The group aims to grow its total hospital capacity to more than 3,400 beds nationwide by 2032.

Upcoming facilities are planned in Sunway City Iskandar Puteri in Johor, Putrajaya, Seremban Sentral, Paya Terubong in Penang, and Kota Bharu in Kelantan.
