HMI Medical launches Hinotori robotic-assisted system in Malaysia
It uses robotic arms and a 3D camera controlled from a surgeon’s console.
HMI Medical has introduced Japan’s Hinotori surgical robot system in Malaysia, with installations at Mahkota Medical Centre in Malacca and Regency Specialist Hospital in Johor.
The system utilises robotic arms and a high-definition 3D camera, which are operated through a surgeon’s console.
Moreover, it is designed for procedures in urology, gynaecology, colorectal, and general surgery.
Chin Wei Jia, Group CEO of HMI Medical, said the technology expands the group’s capacity to provide robotic-assisted procedures to eligible patients.
“We are able to increase the availability of the latest surgical procedures that bring quicker recovery and better patient outcomes”, Wei said.
