Sixty teaching hospitals in South Korea have been selected for the "2025 Training Environment Innovation Program" for trainee doctors, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The programme is expected to provide priority support for the establishment of training systems for interns and eight core specialities.
These specialities include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurology, and Neurosurgery.
