Technogym enters healthcare market with AI equipment
The wellness brand leverages smart ecosystems and product trials to expand in healthcare.
Technogym is stepping into the healthcare sector with AI-powered fitness and rehabilitation equipment, viewing the move as both a major opportunity and a market test, said Shanadel Especkerman, Wellness Sales Consultant at Technogym Malaysia.
Especkerman spoke during APHM, co-located with The Health Industry Series – ASEAN in Malaysia. She noted that the company is still relatively new in the healthcare space, which presents challenges in gaining visibility and trust among providers. “The challenge is the fact that we’re still new in the market for healthcare especially,” she said.
To stand out from competitors, Technogym is banking on its technology stack. “Our equipment is AI-oriented, and it has an ecosystem which combines all of our equipment into one,” Especkerman explained. The system allows users and providers to track, analyse, and customise health programs across multiple machines and settings.
To build awareness and demonstrate value, Technogym is relying on strategic product placement. “We are placing our products in a few places to ensure that people know about Technogym,” she said, emphasising that this is the brand’s main approach to breaking into the market.
