ACRO targets healing in medical and cosmetic fields
The regenerative medicine firm is using porcine-derived materials to accelerate tissue repair.
Taiwan-based ACRO Biomedical Co., Ltd. is expanding its reach in regenerative medicine, with a product line spanning medical, orthopedic, dental, skincare, haircare, and pet health applications. The company, which participated in Go Healthy with Taiwan 2025, is now looking to scale globally by securing new distribution partners.
“Those are all the same materials we use, but in different types of form, for regenerative medicine,” said Michael Lin, Marketing Manager at ACRO Biomedical.
At the core of ACRO’s innovation is a collagen matrix powder derived from porcine materials, genetically similar to human tissue. According to Lin, this has led to significantly faster healing in real-world cases.
“This product, for example, we use for wound healing. So this one is an abrasion, motorcycle accident, and then we use our collagen matrix powder. The wound healing is very, very fast,” Lin explained. “Because our raw materials are from porcine raw materials, and it's genetically 90 to 99% similar to humans. That's why the healing process is quick.”
Lin added that ACRO Biomedical is using Medical Taiwan 2025 as a platform to identify international collaborators. “Now we are looking for a new distributor in each country so that we can share our expertise in preservative medicine,” he said.
