Sunway Medical Centre integrates AI tech for radiology reporting

The technology allows rapid triage of cases and promotes timely intervention.

Malaysia’s Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City (SMC) adopted the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology reporting to enhance medical imaging workflow.

A partnership with Annalise.ai allows SMC to utilise the provider’s enterprise chest X-ray (CXR) technology that enables rapid triage of cases and prioritising urgent ones for timely intervention.

According to the hospital’s CEO, Seow Vei Ken, the integration will support clinicians in identifying critical findings and prioritising patients based on urgency.

“The adoption of AI holds immense promise for revolutionising the way we deliver healthcare services to our patients. It not only enhances efficiency but also elevates diagnostic accuracy to unprecedented levels,” Seow said.

“I believe the inclusion of Annalise.ai will be yet another technological innovation we can utilise to improve patient care, treatment and experience here in the hospital,” he added.
