Singapore pledges additional $10m to The Pandemic Fund

This brings the country’s total contribution to $20m

Singapore's Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung has announced an additional $10m contribution to The Pandemic Fund.

The additional amount will match the country's initial contribution in 2022, bringing the total to $20m.

Ong suggested prioritising two key areas to maximise the fund’s impact, namely global surveillance and enhancing the abilities of less developed countries.

The Pandemic Fund, established in 2022, is aimed at enhancing pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response capabilities worldwide, with a particular focus on aiding low- and middle-income countries.
