Singapore to launch shared stay-in senior caregiving services model
New companies will be able to apply for work pass flexibilities.
Singapore’s Ministry of Health is mainstreaming the ‘Shared Stay-in Senior Caregiving Services’ model following a sandbox trial.
New companies will be able to apply for work pass flexibilities, including additional foreign worker quotas and expanded options to hire staff from other countries.
In addition, companies can access training subsidies for caregiving staff, covering up to 90% of relevant course fees.
The programme, first tested in a sandbox launched in September 2023, provides caregiving staff to assist seniors with daily living tasks, meals, housekeeping, and social activities in shared residences.
