Singapore enrolls 700,000 residents under Healthier SG
Additionally, more than 1,000 general practitioners participated in the strategy.
Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) has reached a milestone of over 700,000 residents and recruited over 1,000 general practitioners (GPs) for its Healthier SG strategy.
The latest record also sees over 154,000 participants engaging in the Health Promotion Board's exercise sessions in 2023, a 16% increase from 133,000 participants in 2022, and over 449,000 participants in PA’s programmes in the same year, a 12% increase from 401,000 participants.
Last February, the Healthier SG Chronic Tier subsidy framework was put into effect, providing more subsidies to eligible Singaporeans at their enrolled Healthier SG general practitioner (GP) clinic. Through this framework, eligible candidates requiring urgent medication can receive treatment at prices comparable to polyclinics.

Ever since, enrolled residents with chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme have gained the advantage of using MediSave to accommodate their treatment at Healthier SG clinics, up to the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limit.
With the success rate, MOH continues to invest in prevention care through primary care and expand the Healthier SG strategy to support seniors, children and families.
