Seoul St. Mary's Hospital caters to high-risk mothers, newborns in new centre
High-risk cases account for over 60% of hospitalised mothers.
Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital opened its Regional Maternal and Child Medical Centre for the integrated treatment of high-risk mothers and newborns with severe diseases.
This includes postpartum haemorrhage, preeclampsia, premature labour, and multiple pregnancies.
The hospital has established a multidisciplinary collaborative system, implementing a patient-centred approach to formulate treatment plans starting from before delivery.
Due to this specialised care environment, high-risk mothers account for over 60% of hospitalised mothers.
