Qatar eyes strong cooperation with health insurance firms

A meeting was held to discuss progress in the national health insurance system.

Qatar’s Public Health Minister, Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud held a consultative meeting with insurance company representatives to discuss developments in the national health insurance system.

Discussions focused on the system’s progress, with emphasis on stakeholder engagement in developing a sustainable model that meets the health needs of all citizens and residents in Qatar whilst prioritising public interest.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber and of its Insurance Committee, Hamad Ahmad Al Mulla, Assistant Governor for Supervision at the Qatar Central Bank, and officials from the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Finance, and the Central Bank.
