OUE Lippo Healthcare, CUHK to operate the international medical centre

Prince Bay Hospital is seen to be commissioned in 2024 with over 200 beds.

To serve the population of Greater Bay Area, OUE Lippo Healthcare’s (OULH) JV firm, China Merchants Lippo Hospital Management inked an agreement with the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to operate global medical centre in Prince Bay Hospital.

CUHK will be in charge of management consultancy services for developing, commissioning, clinical governance, and managing the centre in Shenzhen China Merchants-Lippo Prince Bay Hospital in Shekou, Shenzhen.

The university will also help in the development of Prince Bay IMC including “manpower planning of doctors, development of clinical specialties, clinical governance, operating system and workflow development.”

CUHK will also facilitate the credentialing and provision of education for healthcare professionals providing services in the Prince Bay IMC, as well as the development of a green channel for cross-border referral to hospitals within the network of CUHK and its affiliated hospitals.

OUELH CEO Yet Kum Meng said they believe that CUHK will help Prince Bay Hospital’s healthcare service offerings to grow.
