NTFGH launches population allergy database for allergic rhinitis
Project ENTenna will track up to 6,000 patients from 2024 to 2026.
Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) has unveiled “Project ENTenna”, a multi-year programme to establish a population allergy database focused on allergic rhinitis (AR).
The programme will track up to 6,000 patients over three years, from 2024 to 2026, using WhatsApp chatbots, AI-powered symptom trackers, and behavioural nudges to support self-management of AR symptoms.
The initiative aims to improve the diagnosis and long-term management of the condition, which affects about 39% of Singaporeans.
The project is led by NTFGH, with support from the National University Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Changi General Hospital, and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research.
