Ng Teng Fong and Jurong Community Hospital name new CEO
Associate Professor Dan Yock Young succeeds Quek Lit Sin in the role.
Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Jurong Community Hospital (JCH) appointed Associate Professor Dan Yock Young as the new CEO, effective 1 April 2024.
Young has succeeded Quek Lit Sin in the role after being the CEO since 2021.
Before his appointment, Young served as the Deputy Director-General of Health (DDGH) at the Ministry of Health (MOH) in 2020, overseeing the healthcare services organisation and provision in public hospitals and primary care.

Young was also involved in the reorganisation of primary care and the creation of longitudinal care models in the healthcare sector. In addition, he served as Deputy Chairman, Medical Board, and the University Medicine Cluster Chair and Head of Department of Medicine, at the National University Hospital (NUH).
Meanwhile, Quek’s tenure covers innovations in NTFGH and JCH, such as paediatrics service, evidence-based, decision-making, and new technologies. He also supervised the five-year-long Bukit Batok SMC township project, supporting a self-sustaining ecosystem within the community.
“NTFGH and JCH will leverage our strong integration within the community to transform and advance healthcare, to meet the needs of both our staff and residents,” Young said.
