Midwifery Group Practice expands to Goulburn Base Hospital

Women will receive care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and early postnatal care.

A new Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) service is now available at Goulburn Base Hospital in Southern New South Wales.

The service enables women to receive care from a known midwife throughout their pregnancy, labour, birth, and early postnatal period.

Under the MGP model, a primary midwife provides personalised care, supported by a secondary midwife as a backup, with collaborative care from obstetricians available if needed.
