Majority of HCPs recognise virtual care as key to patient empowerment
Only a small percentage expressed disagreement.
More than half (56%) of healthcare professionals (HCPs) agree that the rise of trends like telemedicine and remote care has enhanced patient control over their health management, according to GlobalData.
Over a quarter (26%) of HCPs expressed neutrality on the matter, whilst 13% strongly agreed with the statement.
Moreover, only a small percentage expressed disagreement, with 3% disagreeing and 2% strongly disagreeing.
“As patients gain more access to their health data and care services from home, they are better positioned to make informed decisions about their health management,” said Shiva Narayana, Associate Project Manager, Pharma at GlobalData.
“This transformation is a critical aspect of the future of healthcare, as patients increasingly expect more flexibility and control in how they manage their health,” Narayana added.
