Kazakhstan secures $394m financing package for Kokshetau hospital project
The project aims to provide services to over 730,000 people.
Kazakhstan has secured a $394m (€365m) financing package arranged by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to fund its first healthcare public-private partnership for the construction of a 630-bed multidisciplinary hospital in Kokshetau.
The financing will be provided to will be provided to a Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of Rönesans Holding of Türkiye. The private partner will be responsible for maintaining the facility and running a digital hospital information management system.
Turar Healthcare, a state-owned national healthcare provider, will provide medical services at the 110,000 m² facility.
The project aims to provide services to over 730,000 people in the city of Kokshetau and the wider region of Akmola.
