Jordan breaks ground on first PPP government hospital in Madaba
The facility will be built by KBW Investments.
Jordan Prime Minister Jafar Hassan has launched the construction of the $124.1m (JD 88m) Madaba Public Hospital, the first government hospital to be built through a public-private partnership.
The facility will be built by KBW Investments under a build-lease-transfer model. The Ministry of Health will operate the hospital once it is completed and equipped.
The 13-storey hospital will cover over 54,000 square metres and include 260 beds, with capacity to expand to 360.
Moreover, it will feature 147 rooms, eight operating theatres, 60 outpatient clinics, and 18 dialysis units.
The project is expected to be completed in 2028.
