India’s Aster Whitefield Hospital unveils IOeRT treatment for cancer

The tech delivers targeted radiation during surgery.

Aster Whitefield Hospital has introduced Intra-Operative Electron Radiation Therapy (IOeRT) for cancer treatment in India.

The technology delivers targeted radiation during surgery, which is expected to minimise damage to healthy tissues and help quicken patient recovery times.

Its launch was inaugurated by Alisha Moopen, Dr Somashekhar S P, Dr M S Beliappa, Francesco Zanetti, and Dr Sujatha Rathod.
