Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu performs first robotic surgery in Sabah

A radical nephrectomy was conducted using the Da Vinci Xi surgical system.

Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu has performed the first robotic surgery in Sabah, Malaysia through the Da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System.

A robotic-assisted radical nephrectomy was conducted to remove a patient’s damaged kidney.

The procedure used a keyhole technique for better precision, smaller incisions, and faster recovery.
