DOH reveals Catheterisation Laboratory in Northern Philippines
The hospital has GE Innova IGS 5 to set the standards for cardio care.
The Department of Health (DOH) revealed that a catheterisation laboratory at a private hospital in Bataan, Philippines was launched to provide high-tech equipment for cardiovascular care technology.
In a statement, DOH said Bataan St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Balanga City deployed a GE Innova IGS 5 with AutoRight for the laboratory.
AutoRight has an intelligent image chain with adaptive intelligence which helps facilitate timely diagnosis and advanced treatments.
"It optimises dose delivery, offers autonomous hemodynamics control on the table side, and efficiently performs complex heart procedures through multi-modality fusion," read the statement.
“The establishment of the very first cathlab in the region, equipped with state-of-the-art technology signifies more than just the acquisition of a machine. It is a game changer in the arena of cardiovascular care. Through our hard work, commitment, and service, we can ensure a stronger health system for every Filipino dahil sa Bagong Pilipinas Bawat Buhay ay Mahalaga," said Health Secretary Ted Herbosa.
