DoH, ADIO and GSK partner on Oncology Multi-Omics Institute in Abu Dhabi
The institute will focus on oncology and aims to accelerate genomic science.
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office have signed a memorandum of Understanding with GSK to establish a Multi-omics Research Institute.
The new institute will focus on oncology and aims to accelerate genomic science by using a multi-omics approach—an integrated method of analysing various biological molecules such as genes, RNA, proteins, and metabolites.
“We are committed to utilising advanced technologies and scientific research to propel precision medicine and tailored therapies for communities globally,” Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the DoH – Abu Dhabi, said.
“The multi-omics institute will enable the generation of high-quality omics data, supporting the development of pioneering healthcare solutions,” Al Ghaithi added.
