Comprehensive dementia support app rolled out in Singapore

It's a one-stop shop for caregivers.

The Singapore Ministry of Health has launched Dementia Friends, a mobile app aimed at helping caregivers of seniors with dementia.

The app allows users to easily access information about dementia, receive updates on upcoming events on caregiving, and most importantly, use it to search for loved ones who have lost their way home.

More than 1,500 mobile users have downloaded the app and signed up as Dementia Friends since its launch.

The mobile app is jointly developed by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), Nanyang Polytechnic and IHiS (Integrated Health Information Systems), the national technology agency for healthcare in Singapore.
