Bumrungrad unveils hypoglossal nerve stimulation for sleep apnoea

Thailand’s Bumrungrad International Hospital has introduced hypoglossal nerve stimulation (HNS) for patients with snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea.
HNS involves the implantation of a device that operates silently and can be controlled using a portable remote.
The treatment is designed for patients who are unable to tolerate continuous positive airway pressure machines.
