Australia’s Bendigo Health continues upgrade with demolition works
A planned green space will complement the new Clinical Services Campus.
The Australian government has announced that major demolition works are underway at Bendigo Health in Victoria to clear space for 4,000 square metres of green space.
Premier Jacinta Allan and Members for Bendigo East and Bendigo West, Maree Edwards, visited the demolition site to view the planned green space, which will complement the new $39.8m (A$63.5m) Clinical Services Campus.
Demolition is also in progress on the former John Lindell Rehabilitation Unit, whilst the old east and north wing towers of the hospital are set to be taken down in the coming months.
The project, managed by the Victorian Health Building Authority, is part of the $395m (A$630m) redevelopment of Bendigo Hospital, scheduled for completion in early 2026.
