Australia’s $162.1m Griffith Base Hospital to open on 26 June
All health services, except dental, will move into the new building.
The new $162.1m (A$250m) Griffith Base Hospital in New South Wales, Australia, is set to open on 26 June.
A relocation plan has been developed to ensure a smooth transition for staff and health services into the new facility.
All health services on the campus, except dental, will move into the new hospital building, including the existing hospital’s ambulatory care hub and renal unit.
The public will temporarily access the new hospital through the existing facility's main entry.
Meanwhile, there will be temporary changes to hospital services as departments relocate to the new facility in the days leading up to the opening. Staff will be available to assist at the main entry.
