Australian gov’t unveils five-year FHRI Fund Strategy for WA
The “Spotlight Program” will be its flagship initiative.
The Australian government has announced the release of its Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund Strategy 2025-30 for Western Australia (WA).
The strategy will guide investments over the next five years, focusing on Aboriginal health, rural and remote service delivery, precision medicine, and digital health.
Each year, the FHRI Fund will select one major, uniquely Western Australian issue to support over five years with targeted funding and assistance.
The “Spotlight Program” will be the flagship initiative under the strategy.
"The Spotlight Program is an exciting opportunity to bring together clinicians, researchers, and consumers to co-design solutions that will directly benefit patients and families across WA,” said Health Minister Meredith Hammat.
