The funding will go to Women’s Healthcare Australasia.
The Australian government is investing $3.4m (A$5.3m) to support the prevention of preterm and early-term births through an expanded national programme.
The funding will go to Women’s Healthcare Australasia to extend the implementation of ‘Every Week Counts: The Australian Preterm and Early Term Birth Prevention Program.’
Hospitals participating in the programme will receive support through in-person learning sessions and online quality improvement platforms to integrate best practices into clinical care.
The programme will align obstetricians, midwives, general practitioners, sonographers, neonatologists, and quality improvement experts to implement evidence-based strategies for reducing early births.
