Australia to establish Warrawong Community Health Centre in NSW
The new facility is part of the $466.5m (A$700m) Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services project.
Australia will launch the Warrawong Community Health Centre on the southeast corner of Port Kembla Hospital in New South Wales (NSW).
The new centre is part of the Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services project worth over $466.5m (A$700m).
The facility is set to provide services focusing on child and family health, aboriginal maternal-infant health, community nursing, and sexual health amongst others.
“This new clinical space is being built specifically to serve the needs of our community, so I encourage everyone to come along and learn more about this exciting project," Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, Paul Scully, said.
“The facility will play a vital role in improving access to specialised care for the region, something I've been highly focused on for a long time," Scully added.
Work on the Warrawong Community Health Centre is expected to start later this year.
