Australia to establish Coomera Hospital in the Gold Coast
Completion of the new facility is projected for late 2027.
Australia is set to establish the $862.3m (A$1.3b) Coomera Hospital for the northern Gold Coast community.
Completion of the new hospital building is projected for late 2027 with early works continuing for the current this year.
“It’s important to note the new Coomera Hospital will be a facility that will benefit the whole city, alleviating pressure across Gold Coast Health’s entire network, in particular Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital,” Sandip Kumar, Gold Coast Health Executive Director for Transformation and Digital, said.
“The 404-bed facility will also bring new services and enhance health care accessibility for the Northern Corridor, one of Australia’s fastest-growing populations,” Kumar added.
Meanwhile, a virtual tour of the upcoming hospital was released and featured planned facilities including an inpatient unit, reception, waiting areas, and shops.
