Australia commits $14m to primary health care research
It will provide grants to projects that investigate and trial approaches.
Australia will allocate up to US$14m (AUD$20m) under the Medical Research Future Fund 2026 for its Primary Health Care Research initiative.
It aims to increase Australia’s evidence base in primary health care through research to improve service delivery and patient outcomes, according to a press release.
It will provide grants to innovation projects that investigate and trial approaches and are co-designed with primary health care services and consumers.
Applicants must propose to conduct research that delivers against the above objectives.
