The airway management devices market is expected to reach $3.82b by 2031 at a compound annual growth rate of 6.4%, according to a DataM Intelligence report.

The sector’s expansion is attributed to the growing burden of respiratory diseases, an increase in surgical procedures, higher intensive care unit (ICU) admissions, and a rising emphasis on pre-hospital emergency care.

By end user, the hospitals segment dominated 68% of market share in 2024, equivalent to $1.69b.

“High surgical volume, trauma care units, ICUs, and emergency departments account for most airway device utilisation,” the report said.

By type, laryngoscopes held the largest market share at $794m.
