Abu Dhabi unveils regional vaccine distribution hub

The facility will manage a portfolio of over 20 vaccines.

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has announced the operational launch of the region’s vaccine distribution hub.

The facility will manage a portfolio of over 20 vaccines, including those for paediatric and adult populations, the DoH said.

Rafed, which operates the facility, has deployed cold-chain and smart distribution technologies to maintain vaccine quality and track shipments throughout the logistics process.

Moreover, the hub is integrated with Etihad Cargo’s PharmaLife network, which provides temperature-controlled freight services for pharmaceutical products and connects Abu Dhabi to over 100 international destinations.
