Two histotripsy systems will be donated to two Singaporean institutes.
The Li Ka Shing Foundation and Temasek Trust have pledged $8.9m (S$12m) to facilitate the introduction of non-invasive ultrasound-based histotripsy tumour clinical trials to Singapore.
Two histotripsy systems will be donated to the National Cancer Centre Singapore and the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore.
The funding will also support a clinical trial for patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic cancers.
