PMCK BERHAD recognised for management innovation at Healthcare Asia Awards 2026
It won for embedding structured ESG governance, certified safety standards, and integrated systems across its operations.
PMCK Berhad was honoured with the Management Innovation of the Year - Malaysia award at the Healthcare Asia Awards, in recognition of its comprehensive institutionalisation of governance, sustainability, and safety frameworks across its hospital operations.
The accolade reflects the Group’s strategic implementation of structured management systems encompassing infrastructure planning, occupational health and safety, regulatory compliance, and strengthened board oversight across its facilities in Kedah and other operating locations. These initiatives demonstrate a deliberate shift toward a fully integrated governance model aligned with best practices in healthcare administration.
A cornerstone of the Group’s transformation is its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) framework, which embeds certified green building standards and renewable energy adoption into hospital development and operations. PMCK Berhad has secured Green Building Index (GBI) certification for its medical facilities and obtained the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Green Pass following the installation of solar photovoltaic systems, RO water recycling systems, and other environmentally responsible initiatives. Notably, the PMC Kulim development achieved a five-star rating under the Malaysian Carbon Reduction and Environmental Sustainability Tool (MyCREST), reflecting rigorous sustainability benchmarks applied throughout the planning, construction, and operational lifecycle.

These include ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 27001 for Information Security Management Systems, and accreditation from the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH). By aligning clinical governance, administrative controls, information security protocols, and internal risk management processes under consolidate unified structured system, the Group has enhanced organisational transparency, accountability, and operational resilience.
The Group’s commitment to workplace safety was further validated by a Grade A rating from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), underscoring its adherence to stringent occupational health and safety standards across its facilities.
Following its listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 9 July 2025, PMCK Berhad adopted enhanced reporting and disclosure practices in line with public market governance requirements. The formalisation of board committees—including the Audit and Risk Management Committee, Nomination Committee, and Remuneration Committee—has strengthened oversight mechanisms, reinforced internal controls, and elevated accountability at the board level.
Collectively, these initiatives reflect PMCK Berhad’s strategic commitment to embed robust governance, sustainability, and compliance structures within its healthcare ecosystem, positioning the Group as a forward-looking and responsibly managed healthcare provider in Malaysia.
