iKang Healthcare Group sets new healthcare standards with cutting-edge diagnostics, state-of-the-art labs

The group, serving about 10 million individuals annually, was recognised in two categories at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2025.

iKang Healthcare Group stands as one of the largest service providers in China's preventive healthcare sector. Through multiple brands, it provides corporate customers, families, and individuals with high-quality integrated health services, including medical examination, disease screening, dental & outpatient services, vaccination, rehabilitation & rejuvenation, and health management, amongst others.

Currently serving about 10 million individuals annually, iKang was originally built as an online platform between patients and providers and has evolved into an AI-driven, cloud-based health management digital platform. In its role as a diagnostics provider, iKang is also guided by its three pillars: quality control, artificial intelligence (AI) empowerment, and specialised solutions.

All iKang medical laboratories are equipped with internationally renowned testing solutions. It operates the largest Hitachi-compatible immune testing line in Asia, capable of performing approximately 13,000 tests per hour. It also uses Siemens one-stop immunoassay and clinical chemistry analysers, with the Beckman Coulter AU5800 Series Clinical Chemistry Analysers capable of completing around 24,000 tests per hour. It is equipped with the latest Roche’s automated immunoassay analyser to ensure the accuracy of diagnosis.

At the same time, the healthcare group has established 16 radiology imaging reading centres nationwide to support its own medical centres in 54 cities. Each year, over 7 million image data are uploaded to a private AI-assisted image cloud in real time.

It has also launched the iKangAl+ platform since 2018, introducing AI to screening and diagnosis of diseases. These products, deployed on the cloud, can analyse images in real-time, significantly reducing the time doctors need to review them. The technology also helps alleviate the shortage of specialist doctor resources, hereby promoting equal access to medical resources to a wider population base.

iKang also takes pride in its specialised solution offerings, amongst which is the iKang MRI Centre, which has brought in internationally renowned imaging experts and utilises 3.0T MRI equipment for full-body cancer screening. It also includes the iKang - Her Centre, which offers an integrated model for breast and cervical health management that combines prevention and treatment.

Another one of these groundbreaking offerings is the iKang Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre, which focusses on cardiopulmonary health management and cardiac rehabilitation. Since its establishment in 2022, the centre has been earning recognition for its unique service positioning, multi-dimensional service plan, and integration of advanced rehabilitation concepts from both China and the United States.

Unlike other cardiac rehabilitation institutions that mainly focus on post-surgery recovery, iKang integrates its health examination services and has designed a comprehensive health management pathway from screening to management. Every ECG conducted at iKang's health examination centres is uploaded in real-time to a private ECG Cloud, which then analyses the recording for any risk.

The healthcare group has also formed a multidisciplinary team to include experts in five areas: medicine, exercise, nutrition, psychology, and lifestyle. This approach enables the centre to design personalised rehabilitation plans for each user.

For its groundbreaking achievements, iKang Healthcare Group has been recognised as the Diagnostics Provider of the Year - China. Meanwhile, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre also brought the group the Specialty Clinic of the Year - China title in the coveted Healthcare Asia Awards 2025.
